It is over a year since the people of the United States made the decision to turn the keys to the country over to an individual who had never driven anything but whose socialist ambitions were clear. At the time when that reckless decision was made, Rush Limbaugh went public with his hope that Obama would fail in these efforts. Limbaugh took the words right out of my mouth and, I’m sure, the mouths of countless other Americans — and was promptly excoriated by the left for his lack of patriotism. (I assume Limbaugh’s critics included the people who demonstrated at the funerals of service members killed in battle.)
Judging by the president’s latest job approval numbers, it is reasonable to say that a fair percentage of those who voted for him “have seen the light.” The three largest polls — Gallup, Rasmussen, and Qunnipiac — all show Obama’s approval ratings below 50 percent. This is a first since he took office. Less than half the electorate approves of the job he’s doing.
What is truly amazing, though, is the disparity between the polling data from these organizations and that from, say, from ABC News/Washington Post (which has him well into positive territory, at 56 percent) or CNN/Opinion Research (which has him at 55 percent). Makes you wonder.
